There’s a great video on the web, showing Robert Olen Butler writing a short story from scratch.
Who’s Robert Olen Butler? He’s the Pulitzer Prize winning author of A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain.
He’s also the author of at least 13 other books, including From Where You Dream: The Process of Writing Fiction.
Now, back to the video. In connection with some lectures that Butler did on creative writing, he agreed to put a video on the web showing the writing of a short story from conception to conclusion. It is nothing short of fascinating. Here is the link: www.fsu.edu/butler
